Communication from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has submitted the new Saudi Council of Minister's Decision No. 88 dated 17 June 2002 regarding the implementing regulations of Import Licensing Procedures in Saudi Arabia, which is available from the Secretariat (Accessions Division, Room 1126) for consultation.

ACCESSION OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

Decision of 11 November 2005
The General Council,
Having regard to paragraph 2 of Article XII and paragraph 1 of Article IX of the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the World Trade Organization (the "WTO Agreement"), and the Decision-Making Procedures under Articles IX and XII of the WTO Agreement agreed by the General Council (WT/L/93).
Conducting the functions of the Ministerial Conference in the interval between meetings pursuant to paragraph 2 of Article IV of the WTO Agreement,
Taking note of the application of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for accession to the WTO Agreement dated 21 December 1995,
Noting the results of the negotiations directed toward the establishment of the terms of accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the WTO Agreement and having prepared a Protocol on the Accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,

As indicated in paragraph 316 of the draft Report of the Working Party on the Accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (WT/ACC/SPEC/SAU/4/Rev.6), the draft Schedule of Concessions and Commitments on Goods resulting from the negotiations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and WTO Members is annexed to the draft Protocol of Accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is reproduced hereunder.
