Canada is increasing the areas regulated in the European Union on the basis of information that the pathogen is widely present and that a number of member states have not reported surveillance information regarding the distribution of the pathogen.

Import restrictions have been applied to nursery stock of host species, forest products with bark of host species and soil originating from the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, and Great Britain.
