Questions from Malaysia on the proposal by Argentina and Brazil for an "Understanding to Facilitate the Implementation of the TBT Agreement as Applied to Trade in the Chemical Products Sector"

Article 1 – Scope

1.
Malaysia notes that the proponent has listed a few bodies which are considered relevant standard-setting bodies for the purpose of this Understanding which includes testing, data acceptance and good laboratory practice of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and classification and labelling of chemicals under the United Nations Sub-Committee of Experts on Globally Harmonised System (UNSCE GHS) which not all WTO Members are party to.
