Free TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN moldova and bosnia and herzegovina

Notification from Moldova

The following communication, dated 14 January 2005, is being circulated at the request of the Delegation of Moldova.

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations at Geneva pursuant of Article XXIV:7(a) of GATT 1994 and the Understanding on the Interpretation of Article XXIV of GATT 1994, has the honour to inform the Members of the WTO that a Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and Bosnia & Herzegovina was signed on 23 December 2002 and entered into force on 1 May 2004.

The Free Trade Agreement contains provisions relating to trade in goods that are of relevance to the Members of the WTO.

The Agreement provides for the gradual establishment of a free-trade area between th

The following communication has been received from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We notify the decision of Bosnia and Herzegovina to apply for accession to the World Trade Organisation under Article XII of the Marrakesh Agreement Establishing the WTO. We would appreciate if you submit this communication to the WTO General Council for consideration on the agenda of its next meeting.

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina hopes that, in accordance with WTO procedures, our country will be granted observer status and that a working party to discuss our accession to the WTO will be established in the near future.

Bosnia and Herzegovina strongly pursues a completion of the reconstruction programme and economic reforms with the aim to achieve self-sustainable economy and macro
