First of all, on behalf of the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina I wish to express my gratitude to the Government of Qatar and people of Qatar for the warm welcome and excellent organization of the Fourth Ministerial Conference of WTO.
However, there is still, certain dilemma whether we can benefit from globalization and from WTO membership or we can lose,
In conclusion, we would like, once more, to stress that the accession to WTO is among main priorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that we will continue to invest every effort in that process of accession to WTO, as well as in the future work of the Organization as a Member country.

FREE TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN TURKEY AND BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Notification from the Republic of Turkey



The following communication, dated 29 August 2003, has been received from the Permanent Mission of Turkey with the request that it be distributed to WTO Members.

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Turkey to the World Trade Organization, pursuant to Article XXIV:7(a) of GATT 1994, and the Understanding on the Interpretation of Article XXIV of GATT 1994, wishes to notify the Council for Trade in Goods that Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina have concluded a Free Trade Agreement within the meaning of Article XXIV of GATT 1994.

The Turkey – Bosnia and Herzegovina Free Trade Agreement was signed on 3 July 2002 and entered into force on 1 July 2003.

Notification from the Republic of Croatia



The following communication, dated 25 September 2003, has been received from the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Croatia with the request that it be distributed to WTO Members.

The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Croatia, pursuant to Article XXIV:7(a) of GATT 1994 and the Understanding of Article XXIV of GATT 1994, wishes to notify that the Free Trade Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed on 19 December 2000 and has been applied provisionally from 1 January 2001. The Agreement will enter into force following the respective ratifications in both parties.

The Agreement contains provisions relating to goods that are of relevance to Members
