In accordance with the certification procedure confirmed in document S/L/109, dated 13 December 2002, concerning the Schedule of Specific Commitments of the People's Republic of China, a technical rectification has been made to page 5 of document GATS/SC/135.

Page 5, under (a) Legal Services (CPC 861, excluding Chinese law practice), under limitations on national treatment, mode (3), the words "outside of China" have been deleted and the entry should read:

"All representatives shall be resident in China no less than six months each year. The representative office shall not employ Chinese national registered lawyers."

The WTO Secretariat has undertaken a review aimed at formalizing and harmonizing its practices with respect to expenses to be covered by the Organization for participants attending WTOfunded training courses, seminars, symposia and workshops. This document presents for information the WTO Secretariat policy that is effective since 1 January 2011.
The policy establishes the following key general guiding principles. The WTO Secretariat shall:
Provide appropriate travel and accommodation to ensure the achievement of the set objectives of the activity;
ensure that the venue, equipment and supplies are fit for the purpose of the activity;
adapt travel and working conditions to the different requirements generated by the activity's overall duration;
