MOROCCO
The following communication, dated 10 November 2012, is being circulated at the request of the delegation of Morocco.

Morocco hereby notifies the establishment of an import surveillance procedure applying to imports of reinforcing bars and wire rods for a period of nine months as of 27 September 2012. Attached are Decision No. 02/12 subjecting the importation of reinforcing bars and wire rods to a prior import declaration (DPI) and Notice to Importers No. 08/12 setting out the procedure for the issuing of the DPI.

Pursuant to Article 72(f) of the Organic Code of Production, Trade and Investment, published in Official Journal No. 351 of 29 December 2010, the Foreign Trade Committee (COMEX) is responsible for issuing regulations on import licensing and import procedures other than customs procedures. COMEX replaces the Foreign Trade and Investment Council (COMEXI), the Resolutions of which are in full effect.
